GIFT OF TIME: Spectrum Respite & Recreation October 11, 2014

Washington Autism Alliance & Advocacy

Spectrum Respite & Recreation strengthens families with teens & tweens with autism by giving the parents or caregivers a much-needed break. A dynamic group of volunteers bring supported recreational programming to youth tweens and teens with autism in a safe and calm environment.

Behavioral health staffs oversee trained volunteers who are closely monitored and supported.
Gift of Time staff and mentors provide a crucial sense of normalcy to the teens & tweens through shared joy and respect. Pre-registration and admission is required prior to attendance. Please note – we need to get to know your child’s unique likes/dislikes and strength; identify the right volunteer mentor and ensure we have a very good fit prior to placing them with a volunteer.
