3920805766_8903fb2404

Dance Class Announcement!!!

WAAA is beginning a new Dance Class with certified instructor, Betty Ann Platt. The dance class will use techniques from ballet, jazz and, perhaps even tap if desired, to creatively introduce students to the expression of movement. Exercises to ultimately build flexibility, strength, balance and coordination will be presented, as we begin with simple movements following musical patterns to note musical changes that affect speed and mood. We will also explore free-style creative movement.

We are accepting all ages at this time. Our first class that we will begin October 7th, at 5:00pm The classes will be held in Redmond, WA at the Together Center, located at 16225 NE 87th St. in the Garabaldi Room, located in Building B. If you have trouble locating the class please call Rachelle Alston at 206-679-6762.

We will run the classes every week in October, the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. Each class will cost $10/class and we will need you to sign up for a month at a time, so please bring a check in the amount of $40 on the first day of class.

Parents and caregivers are more than welcome to stay and watch the dance class but we ask that parents do not try and “instruct” their kids while the class is going on. We will have a professional also there providing additional supports to the children that are in need of it.

If you would like to register your son or daughter or would like more information, please email info@washingtonautismadvocacy.org and WAAA Parent Volunteer, Stephanie Butler stephanie0800@gmail.com
