Dealing with Behavior Challenges at Home

Are you dealing with meltdowns, non-compliance, aggression, self-injurious behavior, or other challenging behaviors in your child with special needs?  Dealing with problem behaviors can present some of the biggest challenges for family members of children with special needs.  This talk will present some practical and positive strategies for preventing challenging behaviors from occurring in the first place and addressing them when they do occur.

Nancy Rosenberg, PhD, BCBA-D is a special educator, a behavior specialist, and the parent of a child with autism.  Dr. Rosenberg received her doctorate in special education from the University of Washington with primary emphases on autism and Positive Behavior Support.  Dr. Rosenberg currently teaches at the University of Washington and provides consultation and training for schools and families around children with autism and other developmental disabilities.  Nancy’s son, Brian, who has autism, attended LWSD from kindergarten through transition.
